MATT HORNSBY
Coach Hornsby is entering his 10th year here at HCHS as the health and personal fitness teacher. He graduated in 2009 from the University of West Georgia where he played baseball. In June of 2014, he married his beautiful wife Tracey who is a physical therapist at Southern Therapy in Carrollton. Hornsby is the head softball and an assistant baseball coach at HCHS.

TRENT BIANCO
Coach Bianco is entering his sixth year at Heard County High School as the Head Baseball Coach. A Carrollton native, Coach Bianco was a four-year starter for both the baseball and football teams at Carrollton High School.
After high school, he attended Columbus State University on a baseball scholarship. He was a four-year starter at catcher for the Cougars and made two trips to the Division 2 College World Series. In his senior year, the Cougars broke the school record for wins going 51-19 and finished the season as National Runner-Ups. During his time playing, the Cougars finished ranked in the Top 10 in the country 3 out of 4 years.
Academically, Coach Bianco received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in the Art of Teaching Secondary Education Mathematics.

Coach Porter is entering his third year as a coach at Heard County High School. Coach Porter is originally from Newnan, GA. At Newnan High School he was a member of the varsity baseball team for three years. He was also a part of 1 quarter final team and 2 state semi-final teams.
After high school, Coach Porter received a baseball scholarship to play at Bryan College. Coach Porter is a graduate from the University of West Georgia where he has completed his degree in Special Education. Coach Porter is also an assistant coach with the baseball team.

Coach Carroll was born and raised a Heard County Brave and graduated from Heard High in 2012. During high school, she was a pitcher for the Lady Brave softball team. After graduating High School, she attended Andrew College on a softball scholarship.
Coach Carroll spent the first two years of her teaching career at Callaway Middle School. During this time, she was also an Assistant Softball Coach for Callaway High School.
Coach Carroll is entering her second year as a Special Education Teacher at Heard County Elementary and as the Head Softball Coach for Heard County Middle School.

Jasmine Spradlin is a Heard County High School Alumnus from the Class of 2014. This year, she is assisting with Varsity and Junior Varsity softball. During her high school career, Coach Spradlin was the starting catcher. She lettered in Varsity Softball for four years, placed on the First-Team All Region for four years, and helped her team make it to the Final Four in 2012 and 2013. She is excited to be back and work with all of the girls!

I am Coach Kelly and I am entering my 5th year as Heard County Middle School Softball Assistant Coach. I was an Assistant Coach for HCHS for 4 years prior to joining the middle school staff. I currently teach 2nd Grade at Heard County Elementary School. In 2007, I married Brian Hadley, Principal of HCMS, and together we have 3 children, Brandon, Bradford and Kenzlie. Along with coaching softball, I am also an Assistant Coach for HCMS Track. Go Braves!
