State Board of Education Rule on Child Find Services

IDEA 2004 made changes in the requirements for parentally placed private school children with disabilities. Therefore, each school district must conduct child find, determine the proportionate share of federal funds and provide equitable services to parentally placed private school children with disabilities who attend private/home schools located in the school district without regard to where the children reside.

The Heard County School System will hold a meeting Monday, May 15, 2017 at the Heard County Board of Education at 5:00 PM to discuss Special Education Services and Proportionate Share.
